Lots of people think they need to adopt complex cutting edge health and fitness strategies. The latest “fitvention” or get just the right balance of daily supplements. Stop. please.


The reality is that almost all of us can achieve all of our goals through simple daily practices done consistently for years. Revisiting the fundamentals is key to EVERYONE including fitness professionals and performance athletes.


🥒 EAT MOSTLY WHOLE, MINIMALLY PROCESSED FOODS -look for foods that ARE ingredients, not that HAVE ingredients. For the most part, stick to the perimeter of the grocery store. Expiration dates are also a good guid post - If it lasts weeks and months without going bad chances are its not real food and wont serve you well.


🕺 MOVE YOUR BODY - It's clear and well known now that regular strength training is the key to optimal health and longevity so start there - other than that just pick your favorite way to move and go. Hike, dance, golf, walk, deadlift, metcon - whatever!


💆🏽‍♂️ SLEEP AND RECOVER WELL - Sleep long and deep. Spend time outdoors with your loved ones.




🏡 CREATE A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT - In the short term...some things are in your control and some aren't. Do what you can to shape what's in your control and let the rest go. Long term...you are the architect of your life. So why not make it awesome?


💧 HYDRATE - Drink up. 8 glasses of water a day, each 8 oz. is good to start. Increase if you exercise regularly.
