WHAT VITAMINS SHOULD I TAKE TO LOSE WEIGHT

đŸ„‘ WHOLE FOODS > SUPPLEMENTS 💊

The only supplements I recommend is a regular multivitamin and fish oil. Otherwise I say take as few supplements as you can - aim to get your micro nutrients from your food

Micronutrients are mostly vitamins and minerals. They play important roles in every biochemical process throughout the body.

Micronutrients are best absorbed from whole foods. A micronutrient absorbed from a whole food source will interact differently than a micronutrient absorbed through supplementation.

🧐 For example, plant based dieters are often deficient in Zinc. So naturally the thought would be “Ok I'll just take a zinc supplement.” Unfortunately when you take zinc by itself it can often interfere and even clock other micronutrients like copper (another very important mineral for lots of processes). There are countless examples of this.

This is why a DIVERSE, whole food, minimally processed, nutrient dense diet is always the best practice for overall health + fitness.

This includes

đŸ« Colorful Fruits + Veggies

đŸ„– Whole Grains

đŸ„© Lean Proteins

🍄 Mushrooms

🍈 Beans + Legumes

đŸŒ¶ Herbs + Spices

Supplementation can have its place. But never assume you're deficient in something before getting tested. Only turn to supplements after gathering data and working with your coach and health care provider.
